San Jose, Costa Rica – Americas Cardroom has officially broken new ground as poker players from around the world threw punches in The Cage. After the final hand of The Cage tournament was dealt, industry experts and those watching on the major online poker forums agree that the time-based cash game was an enormous success.

Poker players who entered the cash game did so with 5,000 in chips, with each one holding a real dollar value. Players who survived the three hours received cash for their exact chip stack.
The Cage participants had just three hours to dropkick their way to victory. Players bik6624235 ($29,947), UpayformyKia ($20,921) and vasya9 ($15,556) were the top 3 winners when the clock counted down to zero.
