Americas Cardroom CEO Phil Nagy confirmed Wednesday evening that the popular online poker room plans to roll out its Bitcoin withdrawal platform some time during the first week of December (an exact date was not immediately known).

“We were working on this today and should have the withdrawal functionality ready by next week,” Nagy said during a four hour live streaming Q&A format broadcast on Gambling911.com Wednesday evening.

Nagy also confirmed to Gambling911’s own Head of Social Media Sparky Collins that the Bitcoin platform would be fully rolled out by mid-December, acknowledging that the anonymous currency has grown in popularity in recent months.  Up until now, customers could only convert bitcoin to cash on the site.

Nagy’s innovative Q&A was a first for the industry and coincided with the Premier of The Cage - Pot Limit Omaha (PLO), a $5000 buy-in for the opportunity to win a total prize pool of $330,000 with funds wired next day.  The winner was guaranteed a good chunk of that money due to the small pool of high stakes players.
