Americas Cardroom today announced a move to serve players only in markets without state-licensed poker sites. The online poker site today announced that, effective immediately, players in New Jersey, Delaware, and Nevada will no longer be eligible to play real money online poker at Americas Cardroom.

"Our goal at Americas Cardroom is to build a poker community where players come first. But we also strive to play fairly. As a result, our network has decided to stop serving players in New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware due to the availability of a regulated poker market in those states," stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris.

Americas Cardroom has traditionally offered online poker players around the world access to play the game they love, even those players living in markets where there is no express licensing/regulation of local operators.

With Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey now allowing their respective residents to play on licensed, local state poker sites, Americas Cardoom's network, the Winning Poker Network, has decided to no longer serve players in those markets.

Players already accessing WPN who reside in the three states will have access to their accounts to close out their balances. Real money play from residents in those states will no longer be permitted.

Commented Harris, "We're growing extremely rapidly outside of the three regulated markets, so players can expect to see lots of action at the tables and guarantees that surpass what's promised. What's more, we're happy to welcome players from the three regulated states to our land-based tournaments, including the upcoming LSOP Millions II in Panama and the Punta Cana Poker Classic in Dominican Republic."
