Andrew Chen Wins EPT 11 London £10k High Roller for £394,200
EPT8 Berlin runner-up Andrew Chen has won the EPT 11 London £10k High Roller for £394,200. The 26-year-old Canadian pro scored the second biggest live score of his career when he defeated EPT Grand Final High Roller finalist Fady Kamar heads-up today to claim the title and first place money. Chen, who has been playing EPTs since Season 5, now has more than $4m in live tournament winnings.
As well as his cash prize and trophy, Chen also received a stunning “Steel” watch worth more than €5,000 from luxury Swiss brand SLYDE, the Official Watch Sponsor for EPT Season 11 High Roller events.
Team PokerStars Pros Johnny Lodden and Victoria Coren Mitchell both had deep runs in the event, earning £33,050 for tenth and 11th places respectively. November Niner Jorryt van Hoof made the final table but bust in eighth place for £49,400; the Dutchman said he was saving his luck for the WSOP final table. He is chip leader in that event and returns to the Rio in Las Vegas next month with 38,375,000.
There were 173 entries in total - 127 unique players plus 46 re-entries - creating a £1,244,600 prize pool with 23 places paid.
