UltimateBet announced Tuesday that the Best Damn Poker Show, featuring Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth, will return for a second season with the first episode set to air on FSN January 12.

The show aims to determine which poker legend, Duke or Hellmuth, can better teach Texas Hold'em to 24 aspiring poker players in reality television format. Each telecast of the 7-episode series will be repeated at 11pm and 12:30am and additional footage will be showcased exclusively online.

Each episode of the show will see players eliminated from the competition based on their play and their ability to apply lessons from Hellmuth and Duke in a live setting. Episodes will have the two poker pros analyzing play and offering advice to the players.

The winner of the first season, Tracy Scala, was signed to the online poker room's Star Players Team as a result of his performance on the show. The 24 players who will make up the cast for the new season were picked from on-camera interviews at the 2008 World Series of Poker and a video submission contest held on www.ultimatebet.net
