Scandinavian online poker room Bet24 has brought on 7 new pros, one of whom has won more than $1 million in live tournaments thus far.

Bet24 appears to be following a similar model as that of Lock Poker, a Gambling911.com marquee sponsor that has bucked the past year’s trend by developing its professional player team while other competing sites continue cutting back.

Bet24 poker manager Lars Kollind said: “We are very happy and excited to sign some of Europe’s most highly qualified players. It is amazing to have seven new poker profiles in our team and to be able to participate in their development as poker players while continuing to build and strengthen Bet24 as a brand throughout Europe and beyond.”

New signings include the likes of Stefan Mattsson (Sweden), Tapio Vihakas (Finland), Ida Lundholm (Sweden), Arvin Golrang (Sweden), Matias Knaapinen (Finland), David Wintersberger (Germany), and Sara Shalabi (Sweden).

Mattsson is the most successful of the Bet24 players, winning over $1.3 million in live tournaments to date
