Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa today announced details of its fifth annual Borgata Spring Poker Open beginning on April 8 with the $1 Million Guaranteed Deep Stack No Limit Hold’Em event and concluding with the prestigious $5 Million Guaranteed Televised WPT World Championship (April 21-26). For the first time in its twelve-year history, the World Poker Tour’s crowning event will be held outside of Las Vegas, as a champion will be named at Atlantic City’s preeminent poker destination.

“As Borgata continues its market-leading success in both land-based and online poker, we are happy to welcome back the World Poker Tour for what will be the third televised tournament of the season,” said Borgata Senior Vice President of Operations Joe Lupo. “The WPT World Championship, sponsored by PartyPoker, is the perfect addition to our Spring Poker Open lineup and presents players with an unparalleled experience as they compete for their share of a guaranteed $5 million prize pool.”

In addition to the WPT championship event, Borgata’s fifth installment of the Spring Poker Open will offer over $7.25 million in guaranteed prize money including its own $1 Million Guaranteed BSO Championship as well as a variety of games including No Limit Texas Hold’Em, 6-Hand Max No Limit, Pot Limit Omaha, Seniors No Limit Hold’Em and Ladies No Limit Hold’Em, as well as BSO and WPT Championship Qualifiers, bounty and survivor events. BorgataPoker.com players will have the opportunity to win seats into the Spring Poker Open by competing in online tournaments beginning with a guaranteed 10-seat satellite on March 30.
