The International Stadiums Poker Tour has named British poker pro Sam Trickett as its newest ambassador.

The ISPT, conceived by Bernard and Laurent Tapie along with Prosper Masquelier, looks to assemble some 30,000 players at Wembley Stadium next May, all of whom will be competing in the world’s largest poker tournament.  The ISPT will kick off on laptops then switch over to a live format once 90 percent of the field is eliminated.   There will be a guaranteed prize pool of a guaranteed prize pool of €20,000,000.

“I just want to announce that I will be an @ispt_poker official ambassador,” Trickett tweeted. “Will be one of the biggest tournaments ever held May 31, 2013.”

Trickett made headlines after finishing second at this summer's WSOP $1 million buy-in Big One For One Drop.  His $10 million take was the 3rd biggest in live tournament history.  Trickett made further headlines after he and his girlfriend were assaulted outside a Vegas nightclub immediately following the 2nd place finish.
