Poker Voters President Melanie Brenner has confirmed to eGaming Review Magazine that the organization plans to present a third bill that they hope would ultimately legalize online poker in the state of California.

The measure be similar to a bill brought up by disgraced State Senator Rod Wright, who was indicted this past year.

“The bill is different from Wright’s bill, it has taken out limits on the number of [operating] hubs, and introduces a further income distribution component, granting further benefits to stakeholders such as the tribes.”

To date, California’s powerful Indian tribes have presented obstacles for the passage of the previous draft bills.

The latest reincarnation of the bill is being earmarked for sponsorship by Assemblyman Jerry Hill.

Some of Hill’s previous proposed legislation includes the banning of booze cruise party buses and the reduction in fines for right hand turns.
