Congressman Joe Barton to Participate in Poker Players Alliance Rally

WHAT:            Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX) will participate in the Poker Players Alliance’s (www.theppa.org) Rally for Internet Poker tomorrow, Tuesday, May 24th, at 1pm. The rally is part of PPA’s National Fly In, bringing close to 30 of its state directors to Washington, D.C., to advocate for licensed and regulated online poker.  

 

                        Local PPA members and poker players will flock to Capitol Hill to demonstrate their support for online poker in front of the U.S. Capitol.  In addition, PPA expects a number of its Congressional allies to attend the rally and address PPA members in attendance. Other participants include:

 

·        Former Senator Alfonse D’Amato, PPA Chairman

·        Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX)

·        Greg Raymer, 2004 World Series of Poker Champ

·        Linda Johnson, “The First Lady of Poker”

·        Jan Fisher, Professional Poker Player

·        John Pappas, Executive Director of the PPA
