Dmitry Ponomarev Leads EPT 11 Prague Main Event After Day 1A
Russian player Dmitry Ponomarev, who won the $2k NL event at the PCA in January, is chip leader at the end of Day 1a of the €5,300 EPT Prague Main Event with 159,800.
EPT Vienna champion Oleksii Khoroshenin is also among the leaders as is Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden. There were some 342 players in the field. Among the 201 players who survived Day 1a are Team PokerStars Pros Bertrans "ElkY" Grospellier, WSOP Player of the Year George Danzer, plus Team PokerStars Pro Online’s Mickey Petersen and Isaac Haxton.
At least 130 players competing today won their EPT seats online and a further 19 in a live satellite here at the Hilton Prague. Last season German player Julian Track beat a 1,007-strong field to take down the EPT Prague Main Event for €725,700.
