Doyle Brunson Said to be Doing Some ‘Serious Back Peddling’ in POTUS Bashing

Once a big supporter of US President Donald Trump, poker legend Doyle Brunson has made it clear he’s not exactly thrilled with Trump since he’s been in office.  This sentiment was relayed in a tweet Thursday, making reference to this past Tuesday’s Alabama Senate race.

Brunson tweeted:

Tim Allen said he was glad he didn't live in Alabama and have to vote because both candidates for the Senate suck. Ditto for the POTUS race!

One of Brunson’s many Twitter followers was quick to chime in.

WhiteWhale0928 tweeted to the Texas Dolly:

this is some serious back peddling

Another, Tim Clark, responded sarcastically to Brunson’s tweet, making reference to the accusations against losing Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore that he had molested underage girls more than 30 years ago.

Indeed. One a pedophile and the other hell-bent on prosecuting people who hurt children and providing relief for people forgotten by the system. What a tough decision!

Jason Gilroy added:

Yeah, one’s a child molester, the other’s an incredibly moderate Democrat who brought the Klan to justice. Just TERRIBLE to have to make that choice.

Brunson’s tweets typically result in a wide array of responses, with the octogenarian not afraid to duke it out with his followers.

These days, Brunson appears caught in a no-win situation with many of his followers still devout Trump fans who aren’t exactly happy with the poker pro’s decision to no longer support the US President while others resent the fact he supported him in the first place.
