Entraction Poker Network Seeks Nevada Approval Despite Purple Lounge Debacle

Despite its hosting a now failed online poker room, the Entraction Poker Network is moving full steam ahead to try and obtain a license to operate a Web card room within the state of Nevada.  Entraction is owned by Swedish gaming firm International Game Technology (IGT).

One of its skins, Purple Lounge, abruptly shut down last month leaving players stiffed out of an undetermined amount of money.  Purple Lounge had moved from the Microgaming to Entraction earlier in the year.

Entraction was also under review for having served the US online poker market at a time in which the US Justice Department claimed such sites were “illegal”.

Nevada this week did grant William Hill a license to operate sports betting establishments even though they too once serviced the US market.
