EPT Deauville Down to 15 Players Heading Into Day 5

Ebullient French player Joseph Carlino was leading the final 15 players in the €5,300 EPT Deauville Main Event coming into Friday's play.  You can watch live below.

The remaining field is awash with top-notch players including EPT Berlin champion Kevin MacPhee seeking a second title. MacPhee, a serial EPT qualifier and online legend, has already made one final table this season when he was runner-up at EPT London in October but is short-stacked for Day 5 here in France. Also still in contention for the €543,700 first prize is Italian pro Carlo Savinelli, Romania #8 Dany Parlafes, WPT Nottingham winner Matas Cimbolas, fellow Lithuanian Andrius "benislovas" Bielskis (who beat a 49k+ field to take down the PokerStars Sunday Million Anniversary), Bulgarian Ognyan Dimov, who finished 11th at EPT London, one of France’s most accomplished players Benjamin Pollak, EPT6 Barcelona finalist Georgios Kapalas, Lebanese player Joseph El Khoury – sixth here last year, and Daniel Carlsson who won the €500 PLO event at the beginning of the Festival for €18,910.

Among those who bust Thursday were EPT London champion Ruben Visser and Team PokerStars Pro Ruben Visser and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier. In all, there were 592 entrants from 43 countries in this season’s Main Event, creating a €2,841,600 prize pool.
