EPT Deauville Main Event to Pay Out €543,700

The winner of this season’s €5,300 EPT Deauville Main Event will get €543,700.

As well as the title and cash prize, the new champion will also receive an exclusive watch worth from luxury Swiss brand SLYDE, the Official Watch Sponsor for EPT Season 11 Main Events and High Rollers. There were 592 entrants from 43 countries in the Main Event creating a €2,841,600 prize pool. 87 players will get paid and a min-cash is worth €8,810. There were 17 former EPT champions among the 338 players who started Day 2 today including Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody who is on the #EPTLive TV table right now.

France is dominating the field here in Deauville: more than 242 players - 41% of the field - come from France, way ahead of any other country. See pie chart below. Italy is #2 here in Deauville with 34 players. There are 32 Russians, 31 Brits, 30 Germans and 21 Dutch. The following countries have only one representative: Argentina, Austria, Azerbaijan, Chile, Egypt, Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Mexico, Monaco and Tunisia. Others with 2+ players are: Israel, Brazil, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary, Canada, China, Ireland, Norway, Luxembourg, Serbia and Switzerland.

French pro Guillaume Darcourt was chip leader at the start of Day 2 today and has been thriving ever since, currently on around 270,000. The day began with 335 Day 1 survivors plus three new entries from Jose Carlos Garcia, Simon Ravnsbaek and Henrik Hecklen.
