EPT Prague 2014 Champ to Take Home €969,000

EPT PRAGUE CHAMPION TO GET €969,000
With a record-breaking field, creating a giant €5.3m prize pool, the EPT Season 11 Prague Main Event champion stands to win nearly €1m - € 969,000 to be precise.

There were 1,107 entries in the event –including 13 players who bought in at the start of Day 2 from scratch. There will be 159 players paid with the min-cash being set for €8,970.

Last year, Julian Track from Germany took home the title along with €725,700; Track agreed on an even heads-up deal with Georgios Sotiropoulos and eventually grabbed the remaining €25,700 prize.

RUSSIA WITH STRONGEST GROUP, AHEAD OF GERMANY AGAIN
Record-breaking field composed of players from 64 countries, most of them coming from Russia - 98 (slightly under 9%).

Germans had also very strong representation here in Prague, locking in 2nd place with 94 participants, while the Brits maintained their last year's third position, meaning all top 3 standings remain exactly the same as in season 10. The home country was represented by 33 players.
