Eureka 4 Prague Hits 475 Players on Day 1A

Final stop of the Eureka Poker Tour season 4 kicked off with a record-breaking mood here in the Hilton Prague; 475 players entered the €1,100 Main Event, making it the biggest day 1a ever held in tour's history (besting Vienna's 457-player field).

Last year there were 366 players on day 1a in Prague with the final registration eventually brought up to 1315 players, surpassing previous records to make it the biggest Eureka ever (it was topped by Vienna's 1432-player field three months later).
Now we can only guess if Prague is about to set up yet another top mark for the tour while 958 players are required to enter in day 1b to bring the field up to the largest number in Eureka's history.

More than 350 players won their seat on PokerStars, including some of the EPT champions; three of them took to the felt today - David Vamplew, Rupert Elder and Roberto Romanello.

Amongst those who attended day 1a were also Team PokerStars Pro Martin Hruby, Eureka 4 Vienna 3rd place finisher Blazej Przygorzewski, France's Frabrice Soulier, winner of the EPT10 Vienna High Roller who has won impressive $5.6 million in live tournaments so far as well as Ivan Soshnikov from Russia who took down the EPT10 Prague High Roller last December for €382,050.

EPT10 Vienna champ Oleksii Khoroshenin also competed in day 1a but the Ukrainian was one of the earliest casualties. The home country had impressive 68 names in the field including EPT10 Deauville High Roller winner Vojtech Ruzicka and the only Czech WSOP bracelet owner Tomas Junek.
