Event 6: No-Limit Hold'em Mixed Max Will Pay Almost Half Million
With just 16 remaining at press time, the winner of this year’s World Series of Poker Event 6: No-Limit Hold’em Mixed Max will receive just shy of $500,000 ($480,564 to be exact).
This event is so rich that each player finishing between 9th thru 16th place will receive just over $24,000.
409 players took part in this event.
Australia’s Warwick Mirzikinian led the pack Saturday with Frenchman Hugo Lemaire following close behind.
All eyes were on Germany’s uber successful poker pro Marvin Rettenmaier, who has enjoyed two tournament wins over the past two months.
He won the Monaco EPT Grand Final/Season 8 back in April and the $169,703 that came with it. Rettenmaier followed that feat with an even more impressive win at the Five Star World Poker Classic No Limit Hold’em Championship a few weeks later. That resulted in a $1,196,858 payday.
Rettenmaier remained in the thick of things Saturday evening at the No-Limit Hold’em Mixed Max.
