Evil Poker Players Part 6: He Followed Female Casino Patrons Home, Then Robbed Them

Gambling911.com is back with its uber popular Evil Poker Players series and, in this edition, we highlight a recent case of a savage series of armed break-ins carried out by an evil poker player now looking at nine years behind bars….not enough time as far as we are concerned.

They don’t get much more evil than Dominick Blair Roberson, 27.

The aspiring poker player once won a little over $10,000 at

in 2015 won just over $10,000 and finished in 2nd place at the $ 350 No Limit Hold'em - Bounty - Commerce Poker Series, Los Angeles.

But Roberson had a dark side.

A jury this past week convicted him of four counts of second-degree robbery and one count of attempted second-degree robbery, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

The Court heard how Roberson began a spree of home invasions, following unsuspecting – and sometimes elderly – women from casinos during a two-month period in 2015 just weeks after his 2nd place finish in the Commerce Poker Series.

He followed a 59-year-old woman from Hollywood Park Casino to her Torrance home, where he punched her and stole at least $6,000 in cash.

In another case, Roberson was accused of using a replica firearm to rob a 50-year old woman of $1000 after following her back home from the Gardens Casino near Long Beach, CA.

In the case of a 41-year-old female from Westminster, the evil poker player got away with $3100 in cash along with her purse.

And what did Roberson do with all this money?

He gambled it away at the Hawaiian Gardens casino.

The robbery of one last victim ultimately led to his downfall.

Roberson robbed her of more than $2,000 then gambled away the funds at a casino in Gardena.

Shortly after that robbery, Long Beach police officers arrested him at the casino.

Roberson was originally suspected of another armed robbery in the town of Westminster.

Dominick Blair Roberson, welcome to the Evil Poker Players Hall of Shame.
