Finnish Poker Pro Jens 'Jeans89' Kyllönen Buys In for Virgin Galactic Space Travel
Finnish poker pro Jens 'Jeans89' Kyllönen is looking to become only the third person from that Scandinavian nation to travel into space.
Kyllönen recently offered up a mere $200,000 for his Virgin Galactic space journey.
“Space has always fascinated me. The first opportunity to try out one of the first space flight, I took the opportunity,” Kyllönen said.
Virgin Galactic’s owner, Sir Richard Branson, believes that commercial flights into space could commence as early as next year.
Space Tourists travel by air takes about two hours. The distance is preceded by three to four days of training Space Center Spaceport America, which is located in New Mexico.
The ship can take at six passengers and two pilots at one time. Poker pro Jens Kyllonen may have a bit of a long wait, however, as he is one of 500 waiting to take the journey.
