Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker US Players Hope Not to Get 4.63 cents on the Dollar

When BetOnSports.com, once the largest sports betting company catering to the North American gambler, shut down in July of 2006 following a US Justice Department indictment, customers worried about getting paid.

The worry was warranted and we are seeing something similar with Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker.  Both companies were indicted on April 15 and neither has paid its US Citizens.

But there could be hope….albeit not much.

While Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker players continue waiting for their money, BetOnSports customers finally began getting paid almost five years to the day of the indictment being handed down.

Unfortunately, they may have been better off not getting paid.

The checks were 4.63 cents on the Dollar or around 3 to 4 percent.  OUCH!

There may be better hope when one considers that payment solutions company Neteller had its monies froze by the same US Attorney’s Office handling the Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker matters.  After nearly a year of agonizing, customers were ultimately paid about nine months later….in full.
