The ex-wife of Texas Rangers player Kris Benson, Anna Benson, was arrested and booked Monday morning following an alleged brazen home invasion.

Anna, a poker player who has previously entered World Series of Poker events, reportedly entered Kris’ home dressed entirely in black and wearing a bulletproof vest.  She also pulled a gun from her purse and also carried a metal baton.

In a 911 recording, the former baseball player appears to be calm.

She told me to go get a lighter for her to smoke a cigarette,' Mr Benson said in the 911 call, which was released by TMZ.

'When I left the room, I just did a beeline for the basement.'

As the operator tells him to stay on the line, Mr Benson can be heard saying: 'I just got my hand on the back door in case I hear her coming down the stairs.'

He eventually escaped and hid in a neighbor’s garden until police arrived on the scene.

Speaking to the New York Post Wednesday, Ms. Benson said she would never hurt her ex husband.

“I am still in love with him.”

Then she added:  “We have been married for 15 years, and he can’t keep it in his pants. He can’t stop f*****g my friends, in my house. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t love him.”

She reportedly forced her way into Kris' Georgia home on Sunday night and ordered her ex to fork over $30,000.  Ms. Benson then went on to smash Kris’ computer with the metal baton.

She said the reason she was wearing a bulletproof vest was because of a deal she had made with the manufacturer.

‘It was a new model she was testing for a company,' a police report quoted her as saying.

In the past, Ms. Benson has acted as a commentator for poker tournaments and occasionally plays the game herself.  She also one got herself suspended for 10 minutes from the World Series of Poker Main Event courtesy of her notorious potty mouth.

Benson also once threatened to have sex with the entire Rangers team if Kris was ever caught cheating on her.

She was once slated to act as a poker commentator on ESPN but that apparently never happened.
