Ft. Lauderdale (March 10, 2009) -HighHeelsPokerTourAcademy (HHPTA), the first women's only poker academy was launched December, 2008. HHPTA had their first 1-day academy on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Ft. Lauderdale (March 10, 2009) -HighHeelsPokerTourAcademy (HHPTA), the first women's only poker academy was launched December, 2008.   HHPTA had their first 1-day academy on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.  The following day Sunday March 8^th, 2009, Mirta Estrada, a student of HHPTA, won the $225 HHPT Ladies Event at Seminole Hard Rock.  HighHeelsPokerTour Academy (HHPTA), could not be happier for Mirta Estrada who although is not new to the game said, "The lab tutorials were very beneficial in pointing out weakness in my play and how to make the needed adjustments."

Congratulations to Mirta Estrada, who outlasted 64 women including Poker Pros, Karina Jett and Lisa Adams to take 1st place in this event winning $4,000. Also, congratulations to the rest of the women who made it into the money.  We would like to extend a thank you to all the women who came out and played some fantastic poker.

The summer schedule is jam packed with events all over the United States.  HHPT on April 25^th is going to Derby Lane in St. Petersburg, FL for the first time.  In May, HHPT will be at both Harrah's New Orleans for another WSOP Event and Turning Stone Casino Resort in NY.  June we are taking the tour to Las Vegas for an HHPT Academy along with a HHPT ladies event.  July will take HHPT back to Mohegan Sun in Ct.  More dates and locations to follow.
