HPT Adds Grand Sierra Resort and Casino to 2015 Schedule

Reno, NV - The nationally televised Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) will add a visit to Reno/Tahoe to its 2015 nationwide tour. Grand Sierra Resort and Casino was selected to host the ten-day tournament series kicking off on January 30th. The tour stop will culminate on February 9th with a nationally-televised Final Table filmed in GSR's famed nightclub, LEX.

HPT is fresh off of a record season celebrating the tour's milestone tenth year. Over $12 million dollars was awarded in 2014 to poker enthusiasts from coast to coast.

The upcoming series at Grand Sierra Resort will offer a variety of tournaments with buy-ins starting as low as $140. Multiple qualifying events will give the players the opportunity to win their way into the nationally-televised Main Event, although players can also buy directly into the marquee tournament. Main Event champions typically win a six-figure cash prize. The prize money is determined by the number of entrants.

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is a full-service destination resort with a 100,000-square-foot casino floor filled with popular slot machines and table games. A full-service spa, on-site shopping center, upscale dining, and 50-lane bowling alley are just a few of the amenities offered at the resort property. The hotel, voted best hotel in Reno by readers of Casino Player Magazine, features more than 2,000 luxury rooms and suites which will be available to HPT players at a discount. Grand Sierra Resort is located just three miles east of downtown Reno and a five-minute drive from the nearby Reno-Tahoe International Airport.

In addition to joining HPT's nationally televised tour in 2015, Grand Sierra was selected as the site of the championship Final Table for HPT's 2014 league promotion, HPT500. The top league players from throughout the country will meet in Reno to play for a lucrative sponsorship package in front of HPT's cameras. The year-long HPT500 promotion celebrated HPT's milestone tenth season and will conclude under the lights at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino during HPT's upcoming visit.

HPT televises more poker tournaments than anyone in the world. The show is available on TV to over 100 million U.S. households, in addition to widespread distribution in Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. Syndicated TV episodes air 52 weeks a year.

The full schedule and special hotel rates will be posted soon at HPTpoker.com.
