iPoker Network Latest to Change Rake Structure

The world’s number three largest real cash online poker network has announced its plans to change the site’s rake structure beginning in March.

iPoker Network will be shifting from a dealt distribution to a weighted rate.

Rival PokerStars, the world’s largest real cash online poker company, recently implemented a similar change to its rake structure, which resulted in mass player protests.

The so-called “tight” players are likely to be turned off by the new structure while recreational players should benefit. 

iPoker remains in a tight battle with PartyPoker to capture the number two spot of most trafficked online poker rooms.  In recent weeks, Party has seen its margin over iPoker increase by a few hundred real cash players.
