Multiple massive wildfires tore across the Los Angeles area with devastating force Tuesday into early Wednesday as residents made a desperate escape from burning homes through flames, ferocious winds and towering clouds of smoke.

At least three separate blazes were burning in the metropolitan area, from the Pacific Coast inland to Pasadena, home of the famed Rose Parade. With thousands of firefighters already attacking the flames, the Los Angeles Fire Department put out a plea for off-duty firefighters to help, and weather conditions were too windy for firefighting aircraft to fly, further hampering the fight.

Woods posted a dramatic video of the fire burning near his home on Tuesday.

Woods posted via Twitter:

"To all the wonderful people who’ve reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned. Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not."

Two homes away from his own were up in flames Tuesday afternoon, he revealed.

"We were blessed to have LA fire and police depts doing their jobs so well. We are safe and out. There are several elementary schools in our neighborhood and there was an enormous community effort to evacuate the children safely. Can not speak more highly of the LA fire and LAPD."

His home was located in the afluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood outside of LA.

Woods would later reveal that he received alerts via his mobile devices that all smoke alarms throughout his newly renovated home were sounding, an ominous sign that his house had likely been set ablaze.

In addition to being an accomplished actor and poker player, Woods makes no secret of the fact that he is an ardent supporter of the incoming U.S. president, Donald Trump.

Following news of Woods loss, folks took to Twitter blasting the actor for his apparent climate change denial.  Gambling911 is unfamiliar with Woods position on this subject matter.

Woods responded to a post from Lucifer, who tweeted:

"The irony of James Woods, known for his skepticism about climate change, losing his home to the very wildfires linked to climate change impacts in California, is striking."

"This fire is not from “climate change,” you ignorant asshole. It’s because liberal idiots like you elect liberal idiots like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass. One doesn’t understand the first thing about fire management and the other can’t fill the water reservoirs."

Woods explained how much he loved his home and had just completed renovations last year.

Woods appeared on CNN just prior to Noon EST in tears.
