Kathy Liebert Looking to Finish Strong at WPT Canada

With only 11 players left out of 454, one of the more recognizable names in poker, Kathy Liebert, was still among the top 10 chip leaders by Wednesday night.

The Nashville, Tennessee born, Long Island, New York raised poker pro is best known for being the first woman ever to win a tournament with a first prize of $1,000,000.

Liebert started her professional poker career as a prop player in Colorado. She would later go on to enter tournaments and she won the first Party Poker Million event in 2002 with its $1 million poker prize. Liebert's win also helped boost the Party Poker brand name.

As of 2008, she has one World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet and over $4,500,000 in live tournament winnings.
