One of the more exciting things about the World Series of Poker Main Event is the count down to the Last Woman Standing.  No woman has ever won a WSOP on American soil  Could that all change this year?

Unfortunately there were only a handful with just over 100 players remaining at press time Saturday evening (10 pm EDT) and WickedChopsPoker.com will be monitoring here.

Amanda Musumeci of Philadelphia was pretty far down the list of chip leaders at 85th place and with 985,000 chips when we last checked.  Still, she was in the middle of the pack.  She’s had 4 cashes in live tournament play to date.

Everybody is watching Claudia Crawford of Mississippi at press time.  She was the 12th biggest chip leader.  She’s had 8 cashes since 2008 on the live poker circuit.

Ben Lamb might not be a woman but he continues to impress.  He was back among the top 3 chip holders as of late Saturday evening.
