Lock Poker Signs New Pro Felipe Mojave Ramos: Stout Out but Banks Big
With world dominance on its mind in the online poker arena, Lock Poker has signed on its latest pro, Brazilian Felipe Mojave Ramos.
Meanwhile, Lock continues to enjoy success at this year’s World Series of Poker with another one of the card room’s elite players, Matt Stout, finishing 3rd at last night’s No-Limit Hold’em Event #33.
No need to shed any tears for Matt, however. He walks away with $192,813.
As for Ramos, he’s been playing professionally since January 2008 and has achieved over US$ 2.5M in tournament winnings, including final tables in the most prestigious tournaments in the world.

After two years of domination in the local poker scene during 2006/2007 and while having 3 occupations at the same time, the financial market manager and musician decided to become a Poker Pro and since then has become one of the biggest names in the region. In 2008 he became the first ever Brazilian to reach significant results in Europe by cashing in his first two international events (EPT San Remo and Monte Carlo). That day was recognized like a World Cup in Brazil for the poker community and the fans as they all saw their very own Brazilian friend playing at the feature table for the first time representing his country.
Felipe is recognized as one of the most clever poker pros as he writes about strategy for several poker magazines monthly and has two poker books coming over to the market this year. One of them is about Pot-Limit Omaha, as he is treated as a specialist in this modality since he has reached several final tables in this game at WSOP Las Vegas, WSOP Europe, WSOP Circuit, EPT, WCOOP, FTOPS, BSOP, etc.
As poker became huge in South America, Mojave has become a big personality as well, not only due to his poker resumé in tournaments and cash games, but because of his popularity and the way he treats his fans - becoming a poker ambassador in the region.
Member of the Brazilian national poker team, he was a runner-up twice representing his country (only one that participated in both competitions) in World Team Poker and IFP World Championship. As poker was approved by the Brazilian government as a sport, his poker seminars have become very popular as he talks about poker in general and its strategy, but also about how poker can help professionals in the business area, being himself a former bank manager in the wholesale area.
With a great sense of humor, it's very common to see Felipe tweeting jokes and replying to friends about pretty much everything in his social media profile @FelipeMojave, and you will often read poker strategy content created by him, his webshows, twitcams and now follow his adventures as the new member of the Lock Poker family.
"Felipe is another excellent addition to the Lock family! He is fiery and passionate in everything he does. He throws his heart, soul and mind into the game without a hesitation," says Jennifer Larson, CEO of Lock Poker. "He is going to take Lock into a whole new world as we move to dominate the South American market. With Felipe, and the LockPRO army of brilliant minds beside us, we will succeed. Partnering with our Players is the only path to being the best and only choice!"
"I am incredibly happy to be part of the Lock Poker family and join such a great team with the best players in the world. I started playing poker trying to follow their steps and now I have the privilege to be on their side. says Ramos "Also, to join a serious company and a great poker site is a dream come true and I am looking forward to representing Lock Poker and honor our brand in Brazil, South America and around the world. Thank you Lock for this amazing opportunity."
