The New York Post was reporting that Major League Baseball officials are set to meet with Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) in the coming days in regard to accusations that he participated in underground high stakes poker games.

The games in question have been linked to an elaborate ponzi scheme involving Hollywood A-List celebrities such as Spiderman star Toby Maguire and Ben Affleck.

"This has been overblown," a source told the newspaper in a report published Tuesday. "They just want to talk to him just to tell him to stop getting in these crazy situations. There is no chance he will be suspended. There is no chance a suspension would be upheld by an arbitrator, based on what we know about this."

MLB has not confirmed or commented on the report.
