More Than $1.9 Million Won in the First Two Days of FTOPS XXIII
Onchan, Isle of Man –Full Tilt Poker’s flagship tournament series FTOPS XXIII kicked off on Sunday and over $1.9 million has been won in just two days.
Highlights included FTOPS Event #1 – a No Limit Hold’em tournament that easily surpassed its $500,000 guarantee. The tournament attracted 3,503 entrants, creating a prize pool of $700,600; kid_bramm came out on top to capture $129,611 and a first major title at Full Tilt Poker.
The action continued on Monday, with big fields for that day’s three events ensuring that the combined prize pool guarantee of $675,000 was smashed, as players competed for close to $1 million.
Event #3 was the series’ first Pot Limit Omaha tournament. YoungSupremacy scooped $26,850 of the $107,400 prize pool after outlasting all opponents; ScoopAndStack and Full Tilt Poker Tour Ambassador Andras Nemeth took second and third place respectively.
Later, Event #4 was another No Limit Hold’em tournament that saw players battle it out for a piece of $691,000; two players turned their $1,000 + $50 buy-ins into six-figure wins.
More than $6 million remains to be won as FTOPS XXIII continues with huge events and massive prize pools through Sunday, August 18th.
