Mukul Pahuia Leads at 2015 $3K LAPT Bahamas

American poker pro Mukul Pahuja is leading for Day 2 of the debut $3k LAPT Bahamas Main Event. The 28-year-old from New York has 244,000, closely followed by EPT regulasr Roger Tondeur with 228,600 and Mustapha Kanit with 228,500.

Pahuja left a glittering career in Wall Street back in 2010 to pursue poker full-time and has since accrued live tournament winnings of well over $3 million. A total of 183 players made it through Day 1 from the 532 who entered. Overall there were 736 entries for the event, the first LAPT Main Event to be held at the PCA, generating a $1,945,248 prize pool.

The winner will get $367,928 with 111 places paid. Other big names who ended Day 1 with sizeable stacks include Marvin Rettenmaier, Joao Simao, Robert Mizrachi, Mike Leah and EPT Prague winner Martin Finger. Team Pros Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov, Liv Boeree, and Victor Ramdin are also all through.

PCA 2015 
A total of 35 tourneys are taking place at Atlantis during the 2015 PCA festival. Aside from the Super High Roller and $3k LAPT Bahamas Main Event, there is the $10k Main Event (Jan 8), the $25k High Roller (Jan 12), the $1k Ladies Event (Jan 13), a $1k Crazy Pineapple tourney (Jan 13) and the Americas Cup (Jan 11-12) - plus nightly turbo tournaments, not to mention plenty of Sit and Go and cash game action.
