Negreanu: My Aid Is Gay!
In a clear case from the "What Will He Do Next?" file, wacky poker pro Daniel "Kid Poker" Negreanu has revealed in a blog post that his personal assistant is a lesbian.
What's more, the crazy Canadian also reveals that the assistant, whose first name is Patty but whose last name he doesn't divulge, is engaged to be married to another lesbian, a "fiance" named Lisa.
Writing on his blog at CardPlayer.com about his recent New Year's Eve activities, Negreanu reveals: "Briefly, New Year's Eve was an absolute blast. We had a decent group of about 20 people for dinner at Little Buddha. Then our host took us to a prime table at Moon where LMFAO performed.
"Everyone was into it, and I had a blast with some of my closest friends: Jennifer and Marco, my assistant Patty and her fiance Lisa, Stapes and Parker, Eddy flying solo, Sam and my Korean buddy John Smith, funny story how he got that name, my golf guy Christian and his wife Amy, Lex and Evelyn, and of course, no party is complete without Amanda and her sidekick Jeska."
If there's ever been a more gratuitous reference made in a blog post, we haven't seen it.
What exactly is the point of revealing an assistant's sexuality?
It has nothing to do with anything in the blog post.
Could it be some sort of perverted attempt by Negreanu to redefine himself, in light of outrageous comments he's made lately?
He called rival poker pro Annie Duke a "fucking cunt" in a recent interview with a British reporter.
Now Negreanu's latest blog post looks like it could be a feeble attempt to claim, "Hey, I don't hate women, I even hired a lesbian."
Earlier, the balding, pint-sized, high school dropout from Toronto, Ontario had made disparaging remarks--via blogs, webcasts and magazine articles--about blacks, Asians, women and the handicapped.
Now it looks like "Kid Poker," who somehow lives full-time in the U.S. in Las Vegas despite being a foreigner, also wants the world to know how liberal he is--he has a gay employee.
And if he has a gay employee, Negreanu's twisted mind may figure, then he must like gays, and if he likes gays, then he couldn't possibly have a problem with any other groups, despite having disparaged them on a regular basis.
When it comes to poker, Negreanu is a genius.
The facts bear that out.
According to official tournament records, he has made more money playing live tournament poker than anyone in the history of the game--north of $10 million.
But when it comes to other things, like life and how to live it, Negreanu is a moron.
