The World Series of Poker was set to release its 2012 schedule.  In advance of the announcement, the WSOP tweeted that the November Nine will not be found on this year’s schedule.

This past year near live coverage of the WSOP turned out to be a pretty huge success.  Rumors of the November Nine demise had surfaced for months.

The tweet:

“A few hints on WSOP schedule coming tomorrow…you won’t find the November Nine returning.”

The November Nine was added in 2008 and went through 2011.

A few other teases via Twitter included:

The Main Event will be three days shorter “without compromising structure at all” and all days of the Main Event will last for 5 levels, starting at noon and ending at 12:40am. The last day is the lone possible exception.
