The online free poker sites have been getting impressive searches of late, both in the US and Italy. Last month “Poker Online Gratis” received 246,000 searches.
Consider this: PokerStars at the hour of this publication had over 150,000 players of which only 26931 were playing for real cash.
What the operators want is for a percentage of these “free” play customers to eventually convert into real money players.
The searches help illustrate how in-demand these online free poker sites are.
Free Poker Sites – received an average of 22,200 global searches per month.
Play Free Online Poker – received over 40,000 searches last month.

Free Online Poker Games for Fun – received over 1000 searches last month.
And in Italy, even with that government now allowing cash games 24 hours a day, searches for free poker sites generated tons of traffic in what is now Europe’s biggest online poker market.
