PocketFives.com has done an admirable job of keeping tabs on the most successful online poker players in 2009.  Think playing online poker can't result in a comfortable living?  Think again folks.

The site ranks Team DoylesRoom.com player Chris Moorman number one.  Among his many accomplishments over the past 12 months: His second-largest online cash came in April '09 when he final tabled the PokerStars SCOOP High Stakes Main Event for $113,000. In February '09, he won the PokerStars $100 Sunday rebuy for $88,200.

Dan "djk123" Kelly placed 2nd in the PokerStars "Sunday 500" tournament outright for $68,900 and then took down the WCOOP Event #2 ($215 Razz) for $53,400 in September '09. Two weeks later, he won the WCOOP Event #44 ($10,300 HORSE) for $252,350 and then recorded his largest career online tournament cash upon placing 4th in the WCOOP Main Event ($5,200 NLHE Two-Day) for $643,200.

Then there was Doc Sands (formerly known as Sir Sands).

His largest cash came in May '09 when he won the FTOPS XII Event #10 for $259,400. In November '08, he won the Full Tilt Poker $750k Guaranteed for $132,800. In April '09, he won the Sunday Mulligan for $53k. At the end of May '09, Sands was in the winner's circle in the Cake Poker $250,000 Guaranteed, earning over $50,000 for his efforts. In August '09, David won the PokerStars "Sunday 500" event for $90,100. In September 2009, Sands took down the Full Tilt $1K Monday for nearly $90,000.
