Online poker witnessed an upswing of 3.6 percent this week according to the traffic monitoring website PokerScout.com.  All of the top 10 websites saw increases over the previous week’s traffic.

PokerScout.com this week began recording traffic for “real cash players” in both ring games and tournaments.

“PokerStars.it made an impressive debut in sixth place in the worldwide online poker market, although Cereus Networkhas since reclaimed the spot and knocked PokerStars.it down to seventh place. People's Network currently sits in 10th place in the overall rankings, and second in Italy.”

The site also began monitoring traffic for the French online poker website Winamax.fr.

“With the introduction of PokerStars.it and Winamax.fr in the rankings, most sites and networks moved down a notch or two to make room. Bucking the trend was Italy's People's Network, which moved up to 10th from 11th last week. PKR also managed to fight the downdraft and hold on to 20th place.”
