From Casino.org:

PBKC plans to invest $20 million to construct a 65K-square-foot casino and kennel at Congress Ave. and Cherry Rd. The gaming floor will include a poker room and off-track betting (OTB), plus space for the racetrack’s longtime restaurant, The Paddock. The on-site kennel will occupy 5,200 square feet.

The current location is set to be sold to developers to make way for high rises.

The Palm Beach Kennel Club has a unique history.

It first opened in 1932 with 24 mutuel windows housed in the original wooden grandstands. An estimated 4,000 guests attended opening night.

The O.M. Carmichael Family, builders of the original facility sold the track to a group headed by Phil Bryan. It would later be sold to a group headed by Bernie Griffin.

John Boggiano purchased the track in 1953 and ran it for 18 years. The facility was refurbished boasting 5 televisions in the grandstand.

The original grandstand was replaced with a steel and concrete structure in 1962. The Paddock Room building was added in 1969.
