After alternating between the number two and number three spot with the iPoker Network over the past 7 months, PartyPoker has finally taken a decisive lead over its closest rival.

For the first week of March, Party had approximately 800 more players on average according to PokerScout.com, which monitors traffic on poker websites across the globe.

Gambling911.com has also been watching with anticipation any potential negative effects brought on by last week’s announcement regarding the indictment of four individuals from Bodog Poker, including its colorful founder Calvin Ayre.  PokerScout.com reported only a mild 5 percent decline in traffic, which it could not attribute to the event.  Bodog and other poker networks have witnessed similar weekly declines over the past few months, mostly a result of special promotional offers coming to an end and/or holidays.

The Everleaf Poker Network, which closed to US citizens last month and has had trouble paying its remaining customer base, continues to see declines in traffic.  The poker network has now lost nearly a quarter of its customer base since early last month.
