Phil Hellmuth Becomes a Rapper: Predicts Mark Newhouse to Win WSOP Main Event

Some lucky folks (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) got to hear poker pro Phil Hellmuth take to the mic Friday night and start rapping.

Hellmuth performed before a crowd that included nine-time NHL All Star Jeremy Roenick.

The record World Series of Poker bracelet winner was appearing at the Chicago Poker Challenge this weekend.

No word yet on what song he was rapping.

Hellmuth also appeared on “Gambling With an Edge” talking about his ten minute live sets in between this upcoming week’s World Series of Poker Final table where he and other big name pros will be analyzing hands and discussing who they think is on their way to winning.

Hellmuth offered his prediction on who will win the Main Event.

“I think Mark Newhouse is going to win.  Sometimes people have to get close before they can pull it off.  Mark Newhouse was the first out of the final table last year and I think this time he will be the last one out.”

That interview appears below
