Phil Ivey Hungry for World Series of Poker Bracelet Number 9: Leads Event 24

Poker pro Phil Ivey continued to hold the chip lead heading towards Midnight Pacific Time at WSOP Event 24:  Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better.  A win would mean Ivey’s 9th World Series of Poker bracelet.

This event had 4 remaining following the elimination of Gregory Jamison in 5th Place ($77,342) right around 11 pm PST.

Ivey had both Joe Cassidy and Scotty Nguyen breathing down his back. 

Nguyen was shooting for his 6th WSOP bracelet, making this one of the most riveting events of this year’s World Series of Poker thus far.

Meng La sat in 4th place at press time.
