PokerFuse.com is reporting that poker pro Phil Ivey has entered into a deal to act as front man for the Pala band of Mission Indians new online poker room.

BetOnline

The Tribe is based out of California.  That state has been attempting to legalize Web poker but, ironically, the Tribal casinos have shot down all previous attempts.

The new online poker venture, utilizing Realtime Edge Software (RTE), would go live for real money play only after legislation is passed in the state.

Pala Interactive was created to oversee the new website with former PartyGaming CEO Jim Ryan acting as CEO.

Specifics of the deal with Ivey were not immediately known.
