Phil Ivey Knocked Out of 2012 Aussie Millions $100K High Roller Event

Phil Ivey is the latest poker pro to make an appearance down under, taking part in the 2012 Aussie Millions $100K High Roller Event.

Ivey, who has been in the midst of an ugly divorce battle, recently showed up in Macau to take part in the Big Cash Games.  Ivey also came under fire for his representation of Full Tilt Poker, a company that has failed to pay back millions of dollars to players after indictments were handed down against executives last April.  The US Justice Department accused two company officials of conspiracy and bank fraud.  Three other player representatives were later accused of running an elaborate ponzi scheme.

At the Aussie Millions, Ivey was knocked out by big name Dane player Gus Hansen.

The final eight and their chip counts:

1. Gus Hansen 567,000

2. Joe Hachem 538,500

3. Dan Smith 346,500

4. Mikhail Smirnov 265,000

5. Sorel Mizzi 228,500

6. Tony G 102,000

7. Nam Le 79,500

8. Sam Trickett 73,000
