Poker Pro Tiffany Michelle in the News Again
Though she doesn't seem to be making much news on the felt these days, poker pro Tiffany Michelle has nonetheless been generating quite a bit of buzz. Following a stellar showing at the 2008 World Series of Poker main event in which she was the last woman standing, finishing 17th of the field of over 5000, Michelle signed up for a sponsorship with online poker site UltimateBet.
Yesterday it was announced that she has re-signed with the company for another year. In a statement released by the site, Michelle said,
"I'm happy to be signing for another year with UltimateBet and I'm eager to get back to playing in live tournaments and exclusively at their online poker tables. The corporate team at UB has been so welcoming and supportive and I'm thrilled to be working with them. I can't wait for the exciting things in store for us."
She re-joins an UltimateBet pro team which also features Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke and Brandon Cantu.
If that's not enough, it was rumored that Michelle and fellow poker pro, Maria Ho, would be contestants on popular reality show The Amazing Race. This week, it was also confirmed that she would participate in the show which will begin airing episodes later this month.
It is not clear when Michelle will again have the time to play the live tournament circuit again as she has been building up her acting resume with stints on popular shows such as Nip/Tuck and ER. In any case, very few players have been able to parlay their 15 minutes of fame into as much as she has over the past 12 months.
