Poker Pro Tom Dwan Responds to $25 million Win Story in Macau

Poker pro Tom “Durrrr” Dwan did not win $25 million as was reported on a variety of poker websites Friday.

He tweeted late Friday evening:
ya so at the time of this bogus macau story 36hrs ago i was losing on my macau trip, and definitely hadnt won 25 million in a session.

The origin of this story was not immediately known other than the relaying of an “eyewitness” sitting beside Dwan who claimed he had lost a substantial amount of money (to the tune of $7 million) only to win it all back and profit a cool $25 million.

The story quickly gained traction on the interwebs.
