Poker Pros Overjoyed by News of Full Tilt Poker PokerStars Settlement Agreement
One of the best days of the year for poker players, and this might very well be an understatement, as the US Government confirmed news reported Friday night that Full Tilt Poker customers will finally be paid what has been owed to them for more than a year now.
Millions of dollars have been owed since Full Tilt Poker was forced out of the US market on April 15, 2011.
Needless-to-say, the poker world is jubilant and made their feelings known a la Twitter.
John Juanda, the 2008 World Series of Poker Europe winner, had this to offer:
Overjoyed by the news that FTP players will soon be reunited with their money. Been steaming over the situation for quite some time.
Lock Poker pro Chris Moorman had this to say about today’s news:
FTP is COMING BACK!!! Is it weird that I'm more excited about playing the $75 6 max again than the 6 figures+ I'm going to get back?!
Poker hostess Kara Scott:
Good day today. Really glad that people are finally going to get their money back after Black Friday. #bigunderstatement #abouttime
Good news for Tom Dwan as he is now off the hook for having to pay back players out of his own pocket, as he promised early on during this ordeal. He was a one time Full Tilt Poker rep.
Can the asshole who put the "ponzi scheme" wording in doj's release be fired now please?
There are still a few lingering concerns for US players as one poker pro brought up….Any time you have the Government standing in the way, well….
Very curious to see how this payout procedure between players and the govt works out.
