Poker Tournament News: EPT Vilamoura Main Event Winner Named
The winner of the much ballyhooed PokerStars sponsored EPT Vilamoura main poker tournament event is none other than Toby Lewis, and it’s a big pay day set at €467,836. The 23-year-old Lewis has played several EPTs and cashed in Prague and the Grand Final last season.
“I’m pretty happy at the moment,” the British born poker player said immediately following the tournament. “This title means a lot to me. I was disappointed not to win IPT Venice but this means even more. It wasn’t easy - Martin was a very hard player to beat.”
As part of his prize, Lewis also wins a €10,000 seat to the Season 7 EPT Grand Final in Spring 2011 and gets 800 points towards becoming EPT Season 7 Player of the Year.
