The Portland Meadows race track could lose its contract to operate ten video poker terminals after the Oregon Lottery accused it of operating an illegal poker room at the venue.
Several violations of state and local laws governing poker were observed by an undercover Oregon State Police detective who had visited the track April 20.
According to the Willamette Weekly, Portland Meadows “operates one of the state's biggest poker rooms and like its competitors operates in clear violation of laws that prohibit bets of more than $1; the employment of professional dealers; and the “house” acting as a bank.”
