Ramzi Jelassi Leads at 2013 EPT Prague After Day 4
IPT Sanremo champion Ramzi Jelassi from Sweden is chip leader at EPT Prague as the €5,300 Main Event goes into Day 4 with 55 players remaining.
The 26-year-old Swedish pro, who also won a side event here in EPT Prague in Season 6, has some 200,000 more than nearest rival Christopher Brammer from the UK. Also thriving are Canadian-Finnish chess prodigy Jeff Sarwer, Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden from Norway and Dutch banker David Boyaciyan who was runner-up here in Prague last season. EPT7 Prague winner Roberto Romanello and French pros Fabrice Soulier, Roger Hairabedian and Manuel Bevand are also still in contention for the €835,000 first prize.
This season's EPT Prague is the richest poker tournament ever held in the Czech Republic. A total of 864 players from 63 countries entered, creating a total prize pool of €4,190,400. The winner will get €835,000 with 128 places being paid. The huge field is 142 more than last season's EPT.
This season, for the first time, EPT Prague event joined forces with the regional Eureka Poker Tour to create a mega-festival featuring more than 35 events. The Eureka Poker Tour main event started last Wednesday (Dec 5) and the EPT is running December 9-15.
As well as their cash prize, the winner of the EPT Prague Main Event will receive a stunning watch from luxury Swiss brand Slyde, the Official Watch Sponsor for EPT9 Main Events.
