Last year, we celebrated first ever Slovakian champion. Now Austria gets the honor. Raphael Wimmer scooped the title to become first Austrian tournament to win the Eureka Main Evnet.
Wimmer was rewarded with €99,685 alongside the trophy. He cut a 5-way deal and eventually grabbed the €10k prize left for the champion as he beat Josef Pavelka heads-up.

Although the Austrian was left with only 5 big blinds, neither Pavelka or Paleta stopped him from making a huge come back, leading all the way up on the throne. Wimmer had a massive support in the rail, including seven friends who also participated in the Main Event. They cheered for Wimmer very loudly throughout the whole final table, eventually exploding with joy after the last hand. The Eureka 5 Rozvadov was the biggest stand-alone event, attracting a 664-player field creating a €644,080 prize pool. For the first time, Eureka experienced a special Re-Entry Turbo flight. The King's Casino hosted the tour for a third time, this year as a season opener with a 9-day festival. More than €1 million in prizes were rewarded during 22 tournaments.
